Stanford University
It was while Dr Nelson was at Stanford University that the idea for a service like MotoMeds began to develop. The institution facilitated the subsequent formative research and initial NIH grant that set in motion the establishment of MotoMeds.
Faculté de Médecine et de Pharmacie
Université d'Etat d'Haïti- Faculté de Medecine et de Pharmacie is our partner institution in Haiti. The state university plays two important roles for our team. They facilitate the execution of culturally appropriate research and have connected us with their talented network of Haitian clinical professionals.
Trek Medics International
Dedicated to improving emergency care anywhere, Trek Medics International bridges the health disparities gap for at-risk and vulnerable populations. Their BEACON technology platform dispatches alerts, tracks and coordinates emergency response networks. MotoMeds providers use Beacon to dispatch and communicate with delivery drivers in Haiti.
U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)
USAID is the world's premier international development agency and a catalytic actor driving development results. MotoMeds is one of many assistance projects supported by the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
National Institutes of Health
The National Institutes of Health awarded Dr. Nelson the prestigious Early Independence Award, a grant which has funded MotoMeds’ developmental stage, INACT1 and the feasibility assessment, INACT 2 in Haiti.
Christianville Foundation Inc.
Christianville Foundation Inc. aims to provide hope to the people of Gressier, Haiti through the implementation of sustainable programs. They facilitate the operations of MotoMeds through human resource management and the provision of office space for our call center as well as community support.
Haiti Health Ministries
Haiti Health Ministries uses ministry to provide patient and community health education and screenings while training medical workers. They assist MotoMeds by sharing their expert local knowledge and help spread the word about our service among their patients.
Ghanaian National Ambulance Service
Ghana is one of the only countries in Africa with a nationalized emergency medical services (EMS) system. The Ghanaian National Ambulance Service (NAS) prioritized EMS through the development of over 130 EMS stations, a Prehospital Emergency Care Training School (PECTS), and, most recently, the purchase of 307 new, modern ambulances. NAS is MotoMeds implementation partner in Ghana.
